This exclusive architect-designed home, completed in 1994, and overlooking a beautiful valley in the cool foothills, is available for short and medium-term rental, whenever the owner is not in residence.

The Villa comprises 2,400 square feet (240 square metres) of covered area and is set in 30,000 square feet of tropical and terraced landscaped gardens replete with cascading ornamental pools.

The design and construction of the Villa is essentially in traditional Balinese style with contemporary design ideas incorporated into the fixtures and fittings.

The form of the building is in two wings (a V-shape in plan) encompassing an inner garden and swimming pool (36 feet by 18 feet)

In addition to the Main Villa, there are separate quarters for the resident staff who maintain the property, look after the House Guests and ensure security of the premises.

Location

"Villa Kedewatan" is located in the village of Kedewatan , five minutes by car from the famous artist community of UBUD in Central Bali , and only 150 yards from the equally famous and exclusive 5-Star AMANDARI resort hotel. It is built on a ridge overlooking the Ayung River with spectacular views of the adjacent rice terraces.

From the villa, it takes only 45 minutes by car to the International Airport at Denpasar or to Kuta or Sanur, two of Bali 's most renowned beaches.

"Villa Kedewatan " is included in a book entitled "Designing with Tile, Stone and Brick" by Dr. Carol Soucek King and published by PBC International, Inc. of New York (now available in bookstores worldwide).
